Edmonds School Board to review proposal for 361M replacement levy in 2026

The Edmonds School Board will review a proposed $361 million replacement educational programs and operations levy during its meeting on October 14. This levy aims to replace the current one approved in 2022 and is designed to fund essential day-to-day operations not covered by state funding. The proposed levy would be assessed over four years, with amounts increasing from $83 million in 2026 to $97 million in 2029. In addition, the board will vote on authorizing the General Contractor/Construction Manager method for overseeing the replacement of Westgate Elementary School. Updates to the Board Norms & Protocols document will also be discussed, including new expectations for board comments at regular meetings.

The meeting will commence at 6:30 p. m. and will be livestreamed on the district's website for public accessibility. Prior to the business meeting, a study session will occur at 5 p. m.
