Edmonds Senior Center Thrift Store extends hours to 6 PM daily

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Edmonds Senior Center Thrift Store has extended its hours to 6 p. m. every day to better serve working customers. Store manager BJ Whitman explained that the change also allows for more volunteer support during peak afternoon hours. Since opening in 2019, the store has generated vital funding for senior programs offered at the Edmonds Waterfront Center.

Its 3,100-square-foot space in the Westgate Shopping Center at 22820 100th Ave. W. caters to a growing customer base. Volunteers can connect with the store by calling 425-977-0411, contributing to the store's mission. This change highlights the importance of community support for local nonprofits.

The extended hours aim to enhance customer experience and increase volunteer involvement. The thrift store’s success underscores the critical role of community engagement in sustaining local services.
