The Edmonds City Council will hold a public hearing on proposed revisions to the tree code on Sept. 23, focusing on amendments deemed "minor" by city staff. This follows a previous discussion on Sept. 9, where officials reviewed the code adopted in 2021, aimed at preserving existing trees during development on private property. The proposed amendments seek to address issues uncovered in a recent lawsuit against the city, indicating ongoing challenges with the current regulations.
