Edmonds School Board to vote Sept. 23 on changes to College Place property boundaries, Housing Hope lease

The Edmonds School District board is scheduled to vote on several important matters during its meeting on September 23, including changes to property boundaries for College Place Elementary and Middle School and a lease with Housing Hope. These changes are necessary for future construction projects aimed at enhancing educational facilities. The board will also discuss revisions to the Transitional Bilingual Instructional Program policy and the Course Design, Selection, and Adoption of Instructional Materials policy. In a noteworthy addition, new student advisors will be sworn in, reflecting the district's commitment to student representation. Furthermore, the board will consider sending a newly elected member to the Washington State School Directors’ Association Conference, which can provide valuable networking and professional development opportunities.

The agenda includes approving the 2025-2026 School Improvement Plans, which are crucial for setting educational goals and strategies in the district. Additionally, a contract for field upgrades at Meadowdale High School will be awarded to Coast to Coast Turf, an Astroturf Corporation Company.
