Brian Zinke, executive director of the Pilchuck Audubon Society, will cover the basics of birding by ear at the Pancake Haus, starting at noon. His extensive background as a wildlife biologist includes efforts to conserve endangered species, such as black-footed ferrets and Great Gray Owls. The Pilchuck Audubon Society actively supports bird conservation initiatives in Snohomish County and Camano Island. The event is open to the public, encouraging visitors to learn more about the importance of sound in birdwatching.
