Healthcare Summit Sept. 24 to address workforce and policy Challenges in Snohomish County

Economic Alliance Snohomish County will host its annual Healthcare Summit on September 24 at Washington State University – Everett, focusing on critical workforce challenges and policy issues in the health care sector. The event will address topics such as health equity, virtual care, and behavioral health access, reflecting the evolving needs of the community. A panel discussion will feature local health care leaders, including Dr. James Lewis from the Snohomish County Health Department and Dr. Mila Sprouse from Providence Swedish, who will share insights on current industry challenges.

Following the public discussion, a private roundtable will bring together health care leaders and policymakers to develop strategies for addressing workforce shortages. Ray Stephanson, EASC President and CEO, highlighted the significance of health care as a vital industry in Snohomish County. The summit aims to foster connections between community members and local health care stakeholders. Light refreshments will be provided during the event. While attendance is free, space is limited, and an RSVP is required.
