Edmonds Senior Center Thrift Store fashion show raises 20K for senior lunch program

The fifth annual Edmonds Senior Center Thrift Store Fashion Show raised over $20,000 for the Edmonds Waterfront Center's senior lunch program on September 7. The event attracted a sold-out crowd of 275 guests, showcasing outfits modeled by staff and volunteers. President and CEO Daniel Johnson highlighted the pivotal role of Store Manager BJ Whitman and her team, stating that the Thrift Store contributes nearly one-third of the center's revenue. Sarah Eno, a contestant in the Mrs. Washington pageant, provided modeling tips, while Autum Bystrom enlivened the proceedings as the announcer.

The event also featured live piano music from Kristen Orien, enhancing the lively atmosphere. Local sponsors, including KeyBank and Puget Sound Energy, played a crucial role in the event's success. This gathering exemplifies the community's dedication to supporting senior services. The funds raised will directly benefit the senior lunch program, vital for many in the area.
