With a background in biotech and a passion for geology, Bergin has dedicated years to nurturing students' interest in earth sciences. Her lab is open to public, private, and home schools, aligning its curriculum with state educational standards to facilitate field trips. Upcoming events include a free family fun day on September 13 and an open house on September 15, encouraging community involvement.

Bergin envisions expanding the lab's offerings to include Saturday classes and a geology badge program for local Girl Scouts. “I’m contributing. Trying to fill that science gap,” she stated, emphasizing her commitment to local education. Her initiative aims to inspire curiosity and a love for geology among young learners in the community.
