Ballyhoo Theatre is presenting "The Spitfire Grill," a musical exploring themes of redemption and healing, from September 5-21. The show follows Percy Talbot, who, after prison, finds a new beginning in Gilead, Wisconsin, aided by a local sheriff. The production features a score influenced by the folk music of the Great Lakes and Southern Appalachia, and is suitable for ages 13 and older. The Cascadia Art Museum will celebrate its 10th anniversary on September 13 with a free community event that includes guided tours and hands-on art activities for all ages. A highlight will be a proclamation by Mayor Mike Rosen declaring the day as "Cascadia Art Museum Day.
" Additionally, Edmonds Driftwood Players will kick off their 67th season with "A Fox on the Fairway," a comedic play that runs from September 19 to October 12, recommended for audiences 16 and older due to adult themes. The production promises a fast-paced farce in the tradition of classic English comedies. Local artists are encouraged to enter the Teen Open Call at Graphite Arts Center, with entries due by September 14, aiming to showcase young talent in a professional environment.
