Edmonds man in jail after alleged violent assault of massage employees

An Edmonds man, 48, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly assaulting two women employees at Eva Spa Massage on Sunday evening. Witnesses helped police locate the suspect, who fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after in a nearby parking lot. Cmdr. Josh McClure reported that video evidence showed the suspect locking the business door and attacking one victim with a metal coat rack. The assault escalated as both victims were attacked, resulting in serious injuries requiring hospitalization.

A customer in the spa at the time of the incident reported hearing the suspect make statements suggesting the attack was intentional. While being arrested, the suspect expressed anger over not killing the victims and was found wearing bloodied gloves. Investigators continue to probe the motive behind the violent act, which left both victims unconscious. Police urge anyone with more information to contact them directly.
