Edmonds, WALocal News

On October 6, voters in Edmonds will gather to discuss a proposed $14. 5 million levy lid lift during an event co-hosted by My Edmonds News and the Edmonds Civic Roundtable. The event, taking place at the Edmonds Waterfront Center, will begin at 6:30 p. m. and is moderated by My Edmonds News founder Teresa Wippel.

Speakers Treasure Mackley and Diane Buckshnis will present arguments for and against the levy. Audience participation will be encouraged through a ticket system, allowing random selection for questions during the Q&A segment. The discussion format promotes alternating responses and timed statements to ensure clarity. The event will be recorded for later viewing on YouTube, extending its reach beyond those present. Ultimately, the goal is to foster informed decision-making ahead of the November 4 general election.
