A perfect day for petanque tournament benefiting Edmonds Food Bank

The 2025 Food Bank Petanque Tournament in Edmonds drew sixty players, emphasizing community support for the local food bank. The winning Edmonds team consisted of Keogh Singkeo, La Singkeo, and Tu Hoang, with second and third place going to local and visiting teams. Financial results are pending, but the tournament has contributed $89,000 since 2011 to combat food insecurity. Members of the Edmonds Petanque Club actively participated in event preparations, demonstrating strong community involvement. Special thanks were extended to Howard Heflin for his photography work and to Paul and Janice Baron for their prize contributions.

The event highlights the ongoing issue of food insecurity in the region, necessitating continued community support. This year’s contributions will add to the total raised over the years. The club remains dedicated to supporting local initiatives through engaging events like this tournament.
