Fun and games Friday night with rising Seattle band at Musicology Co. Aug. 29

Musicology Co. in Edmonds will host a checkers and listening party for the Seattle band Acapulco Lips on Friday, Aug. 29, at 7 p. m. The event allows attendees to play checkers against the band for prizes while enjoying their new album, "Now," lauded as a "PNW summertime classic" by Guerrilla Candy.

This event is part of the Musicology Music Club's efforts to promote local artists through its vinyl subscription service. Launched in February, the club has previously featured prominent Pacific Northwest musicians, including The Head and the Heart and SYML. Acapulco Lips is the club’s featured artist for August, showcasing the vibrant local music scene. The checkers and listening party aims to foster community interaction and support for local talent.
