Leland Miyawaki, a legendary figure in fly fishing, will speak at the Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds meeting on September 9. His presentation will focus on topwater fishing strategies for sea-run cutthroat and coho salmon, showcasing his minimalist approach to triggering strikes. Known for the iconic Miyawaki Beach Popper, he will share insights into its development and effectiveness. The event begins at 5:30 p. m.
