The Celebrate Schools Monster Mad Dash 5K is set for Saturday, Oct. 4, at Lake Ballinger, Mountlake Terrace. Participants can register starting at 8 a. m. , with runners taking off at 9 a.

m. and walkers at 9:15 a. m. Costumes are highly encouraged, offering a chance to win prizes for creativity. Families will find additional entertainment in the Kids Zone, featuring activities for children of all ages.

The event, supported by various sponsors, aims to raise funds for vital programs offered by the Edmonds School District Foundation, which enhances educational resources for students. This year’s sponsors include Edmonds College, Gesa, and Chick-fil-A among others. Registration is currently available at foundationesd. org/5k.
