This eight-week, 300-hour program is held at the Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center and offers tuition-free training. Participants gain hands-on experience and earn an AMSC badge, which facilitates entry into apprenticeships and skilled trades jobs. Dr. Amit B.

Singh, President of Edmonds College, stated that the grant enables students to acquire essential skills for higher-paying careers. The funding comes from WSDOT's PASS Grant Program, aimed at diversifying the highway construction workforce. It particularly targets outreach to socially disadvantaged individuals, including those aging out of foster care and people experiencing homelessness. CAP is designed to eliminate financial barriers, ensuring that quality training is accessible to a diverse array of learners. Graduates leave the program with practical experience and a clear pathway to successful careers in construction.
