Edmonds police to host community conversation on public safety at Mathay-Ballinger Park Aug. 21

Edmonds, WALocal News

Edmonds Police Cmdr. David Machado will host a community conversation on public safety at Mathay-Ballinger Park on August 21 from 6:30-8:30 p. m. This event provides an opportunity for residents to ask questions and express concerns directly to police leadership. It follows the first public safety meeting held at Seaview Park on August 14, with one more event planned in the series.

The police emphasize that while all community members are welcome, discussions will focus on neighborhood-specific safety issues. Mathay-Ballinger Park is located at 24100 78th Pl. W. in Edmonds. Such community engagement events aim to foster dialogue between residents and law enforcement.

By addressing local safety concerns directly, the police hope to improve trust and cooperation within the community. Public participation in these meetings is crucial for effective policing and community safety strategies.
