Hundreds help Cascadia Art Museum celebrate 10 years with glamorous gala
Cascadia Art Museum raised over $600,000 at its 10th-anniversary gala, attended by 316 supporters. This event celebrated the museum's evolution and its role in the Northwest art community, particularly during the pandemic. President Lindsey Echelbarger highlighted the museum's growth from having no members to over 1,500, along with its extensive educational programs for children. Previous auctions have cumulatively raised nearly $4 million, which funds exhibitions and outreach initiatives. Echelbarger revealed a significant acquisition of 80 paintings from the Garvey family, which bolsters the museum's reputation as a leading institution for Northwest art.
The gala's success reflects the community's dedication to preserving local culture and supporting the arts. Echelbarger emphasized that the funds will help maintain ongoing programs and care for the museum’s expanding collection. This commitment ensures that the museum will continue to serve as a cultural resource for future generations.
