Virtual golf tournament fundraiser for Lynnwood Neighborhood Center Aug. 13

Volunteers of America Western Washington will host a virtual golf tournament fundraiser on August 13, benefiting the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center. The tournament will run from 5-10 p. m. at Back 9 Parlor, with a $125 entry fee for a two-person team. In addition to golf, participants can engage in various virtual sports, such as baseball and zombie dodgeball.

The Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, once completed, will be a 40,000-square-foot community space, providing essential health, food, and financial services. Construction costs for the center are estimated at $26. 5 million, with nearly all funding secured, as noted by WOAWW's Brian Smith. The center aims to foster community connections and serve as a regional gathering place. Prize opportunities and food and drink will also be available during the event.
