Edmonds St. Albans Episcopal Church hosting free food distribution Aug. 13

Edmonds, WALocal News

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds will host a popup food distribution event from 3-4 p. m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, to address local food insecurity.

The event provides free food items, including fresh produce, meat, and prepackaged goods, available for those in need. Items will be sourced from the Edmonds Food Bank, ensuring a variety of options for visitors. The distribution truck will be parked on the church's north side at 21405 82 Pl. W. , with clear signage on surrounding streets to guide attendees.

In addition to this event, the church has established a community “Blessings Food Pantry” that operates all day, allowing individuals to access food whenever necessary. The pantry encourages community members to both take from and donate food items, fostering a spirit of sharing. This initiative reflects St. Alban's commitment to supporting those facing food insecurity in the Edmonds area. Such efforts are critical, especially in times of economic uncertainty, as they provide essential resources to vulnerable populations.
