2025 Edmonds primary election results Barnett, Newman leading in race for open Position 3 seat

Erika Barnett leads the Edmonds City Council primary for Position 3, garnering 50% of the votes, while Alex Newman follows with 41% and Joseph Ademofe trails at 9%. The Position 3 seat is currently held by Neil Tibbott, who is not seeking reelection this year. The top two candidates will move on to the general election scheduled for November 4. Barnett expressed gratitude for the support from Edmonds voters, highlighting her campaign's focus on public safety and community preservation. As of 8 p.

m. Tuesday, 28% of ballots had been counted, totaling 8,839 out of 31,782 sent to registered voters. Initial results were posted at 8 p. m. and will be updated every weekday.

The official results are set to be certified and posted by 1 p. m. on August 19. Ballots for the general election are scheduled to be mailed on October 16.
