Oh, Helen Mrs. Ropers romp through downtown Edmonds
The third annual Roper Romp took place in downtown Edmonds, attracting hundreds of attendees dressed as Mrs. Roper from the 1970s sitcom Three’s Company. Participants showcased bold prints, caftans, statement jewelry, and red curly wigs in homage to the beloved character. More than 23 downtown locations hosted the event, which aimed to raise funds for the Edmonds Food Bank and Housing Hope. Proceeds from ticket sales directly benefited these local organizations, emphasizing the event's role in supporting community welfare.
Julia Wiese captured the event through photography, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere. This year’s Roper Romp exemplifies the local commitment to charity, with proceeds contributing to essential services for residents in need. Since its inception, the event has grown in popularity, fostering a sense of unity and fun among participants. The Roper Romp not only entertains but also reinforces the importance of community involvement in charitable causes.
