Colorful caftans to take over downtown Edmonds at 3rd Annual Roper Romp Aug. 1

The 3rd Annual Roper Romp is set for August 1 in downtown Edmonds, where participants will don colorful caftans and wigs to celebrate the event. Kicking off at 5 p. m. , this free community gathering is open to those aged 21 and up. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costume, channeling their inner Helen for a night of campy fun.

A prize drawing featuring various items will add excitement to the evening, with proceeds from ticket sales benefiting the Edmonds Food Bank and Housing Hope. This event highlights local businesses while fostering community spirit. RSVPs are available on Eventbrite, and updates can be found on the event’s Facebook page. The Roper Romp pays tribute to Mrs. Roper from the 1970s sitcom "Three’s Company," contributing to its playful theme.
