Edmonds Planning Board seeks student representative

Edmonds is currently seeking a student representative for its Planning Board, a role that provides insight into local governance and planning processes. Eligible applicants must be high school or college students residing in Edmonds, and they can attend schools outside the city. The Planning Board, which meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, advises the mayor and City Council on various land use matters. The term for the appointed student representative will begin upon appointment and extend through August 2026, allowing for reappointment if desired. This position not only counts towards community service hours but also enhances a student's resume with civic experience.

Interested individuals can complete an application through the City of Edmonds' website or request one by email or phone. All applications will be reviewed, and qualified candidates will be interviewed and voted on by the Planning Board. The first application review is set for August 31, 2025, emphasizing the urgency for interested students to apply.
