Enrollment open for WSU Sustainable Community Stewards fall training

Enrollment is now open for the WSU Snohomish County Extension Office's Sustainable Community Stewards fall training, scheduled from Sept. 10 to Nov. 15. Classes will be held every Wednesday from 6-8:30 p. m.

, alternating between in-person and Zoom formats. Participants will explore climate change science and sustainability, focusing on waste reduction and recycling methods, requiring a 20-hour volunteer commitment. The curriculum includes topics such as environmental justice, food waste prevention, and DIY eco-friendly cleaning products, with presentations from various experts. Field trips to recycling and composting facilities will enhance the learning experience. The course fee is $60, with a 10% discount for early registration before Aug.
