Public workshop on Edmonds critical areas July 18

The Edmonds Environmental Council will host a workshop on critical areas on July 18 from 7-9 p. m. at the Port of Edmonds Administration Building. Attendees will evaluate existing protections for the city’s critical areas and suggest revisions to the Critical Areas Ordinance as part of an ongoing update. This effort is essential, as the city must complete the ordinance update by December 31.

Participants will also recommend changes to other city codes that impact the implementation of protective measures. The workshop will include discussions on critical area policies and amendments to the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
