Edmonds council committee to revisit centers and hubs during July 15 meeting

The Edmonds City Council will convene two committee meetings on July 15, starting with Committee B at 3 p. m. to evaluate the job order contracting program and bid results for the 88th Avenue West Overlay Project. The 6 p. m.

Committee of the Whole will focus on the Planning Board's recommendations for zoning updates that include nine designated neighborhood centers and hubs. These changes are part of the city's 2024 Comprehensive Plan to accommodate growth and comply with state housing mandates. The council will also interview a Planning Board candidate and discuss an interim ordinance on park impact fees during the evening session. Residents can participate virtually via Zoom or attend in person at City Hall, where a monitor will be provided for accessibility. This initiative reflects the city’s commitment to enhancing local infrastructure while addressing housing needs.

Public input remains limited to written comments, as no live comments will be taken during these meetings.
