Sand sculpture contest, inaugural Beach Bash at Edmonds Waterfront Center Friday

The Edmonds Waterfront Center will host the annual Sand Sculpture Contest and the inaugural Beach Bash on July 11. Registration for the Sand Sculpture Contest opens at 11 a. m. Participants can compete in categories such as Adult, Family Group, and Children Group, with judging beginning at 1 p. m.

and awards presented at 2:30 p. m. The Beach Bash, scheduled from 5-10 p. m. , will feature live DJ sets, a performance by Point of Sail, and various food trucks.

This community-focused event offers free entry and aims to foster local engagement. Attendees can enjoy craft beverages at The Sand Bar while watching the sunset over the Olympics. Both events are sponsored by Terry Vehrs, Windermere of Edmonds, emphasizing local business support.
