Liberty Mutual Foundation renews 25K grant to Nourishing Network, bringing two-year commitment to 50K
Liberty Mutual Foundation renewed its commitment to the Nourishing Network with a $25,000 grant, bringing total funding to $50,000 over two years. The grant helps the Edmonds School District provide vital food resources to vulnerable students. Last year, the Nourishing Network delivered 12,474 nutritious meals, significantly exceeding its goal, and distributed 234,817 food items through various programs. Executive Director Deborah Brandi emphasized that every meal reinforces a child's sense of worth and support. Christopher Wiggins of Liberty Mutual remarked that access to healthy food is crucial for students' learning and growth.
Community involvement is crucial, with opportunities for food drives and volunteering available. This partnership aligns with Liberty Mutual Foundation's mission to build security and resiliency in communities. The Nourishing Network's impact is evident in its ability to serve families quickly and effectively.
