Nubian Jam to spotlight Black Heritage and Culture July 26

The 33rd annual Nubian Jam Community Celebration is set for July 26 from 10 a. m. to 7 p. m. at Forest Park in Everett.

This event, organized by the Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee, is free and celebrates the richness of African American culture. Attendees will find a variety of food vendors, local resources, and multicultural entertainment, including a 3-on-3 basketball tournament for kids. “Simply put, the Nubian Jam is a celebration,” stated DanVonique Bletson-Reed, the committee’s president. A special ceremony honoring Black high school graduates will also occur during the event, highlighting the committee's mission to promote racial harmony. The Nubian Jam includes a Black History Tent for visitors to explore significant aspects of Black history in America.
