Edmonds College designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense through 2030

Edmonds College has earned the designation of a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) through 2030, awarded by the NSA. This recognition underscores the college's commitment to training cybersecurity professionals capable of addressing vulnerabilities in national infrastructure. Since 1999, Edmonds has been a pioneer in offering courses in digital forensics and cyber defense, allowing students to gain practical experience. Instructor Mike Andrew stated that the designation is a testament to the program's excellence and the expertise of the faculty. Since 2017, Edmonds has been recognized by leaders in the cyber defense field for its strong programs and alignment with industry standards.

The college provides a two-year associate degree in cyber defense and digital forensics, along with certificates that can be earned in as few as two quarters.
