Senate Bill 5104 aims to protect workers from coercion based on immigration status, enabling them to report violations to the Department of Labor and Industries. Additionally, House Bill 2118 introduces stringent regulations for gun dealers, requiring enhanced security measures and background checks for employees. These legislative actions are part of efforts to address a substantial budget shortfall projected at $12 billion to $16 billion over the next four years.
