Reminder Mountlake Terrace hosting 3rd of July family celebration, fireworks

Edmonds, WALocal News

Mountlake Terrace will host its annual 3rd of July family celebration at Ballinger Park, starting at 6 p. m. on July 3. The event features pie-eating contests, field games, a DJ, and food trucks, culminating in a fireworks display around 10 p. m.

Personal fireworks are illegal in the city, but a professional pyrotechnics company will conduct the show over Lake Ballinger. Restroom facilities at the park and clubhouse will be closed, with portable restrooms available. Event organizers expect strong attendance, so attendees should prepare for weather conditions and arrive early to find seating. Due to limited parking, walking, biking, and rideshares are recommended, with some accessible parking available. Free parking is offered at the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center, while paid options exist at the Nile Shrine.

Community Transit Route 130 drops off near the event, facilitating public transport access.
