Meadowdale HS Key Club members receive Kiwanis Club of Edmonds scholarships

Grace Shwaiki and Satee Gaim, graduating seniors from Meadowdale High School, each received a $2,000 scholarship from the Kiwanis Club of Edmonds. Key Club advisor Jenae Kirby praised their leadership and community involvement, noting Shwaiki's high GPA and extensive volunteering efforts. Shwaiki plans to study architecture at Cascadia College, while Gaim intends to pursue engineering at a higher education institution. Gaim has excelled academically, taking AP courses and participating in a dual high school/college program. Both students have contributed significantly to their school through tutoring and volunteering, including roles at food banks and Clothes for Kids.

Their achievements showcase the importance of youth leadership in fostering community engagement. The scholarships reflect the Kiwanis Club's commitment to supporting local students. Such recognition encourages continued academic and social contributions among peers.
