Former Edmonds Mayor Harve Harrison's house is being relocated to Poulsbo to provide a new home for individuals in need. The moving process began on June 27, with Nickel Bros utilizing hydraulic jacks and wheels to rotate and elevate the house. The crew faced numerous challenges, including ferry traffic and narrow passages on Main Street blocked by railroad lights, which delayed the move. The house was successfully backed down to Beach Place by approximately 1 a. m.

on June 28, where it will await a high tide to be loaded onto a barge. This relocation is part of a broader initiative to address housing needs in the community. The house’s new purpose underscores the significance of adaptive reuse in local housing efforts. The complex maneuvering required for the move demonstrates the logistical challenges of relocating large structures. Community members are optimistic about the potential impact of this project on local housing availability.
