Lynnwood QFC Store Manager Mafi Vasquez honored nationally as top woman in grocery

Mafi Vasquez, store manager of the Lynnwood QFC, received national acclaim as a Top Woman in Grocery by Progressive Grocer magazine. She earned this honor for her exceptional leadership, community involvement, and for guiding her team of 83 associates to exceed turnover goals while achieving over 85% on customer service metrics. Originally from Peru, Vasquez transitioned from nursing to grocery management after moving to the U. S. , demonstrating resilience and dedication to helping others.

QFC President Brent Stewart commended her for embodying the values of compassion and community service. Under her management, her store has achieved significant milestones in local food donation programs, including leading one of QFC’s largest turkey donations. Vasquez actively encourages her team’s participation in Food Lifeline packing events and champions the Holiday Hunger Program. This recognition not only highlights her impact at QFC but also emphasizes the role of women in leadership within the grocery sector.
