Effective November 2020, the City of Des Moines Public Works Department will implement changes to the recycling collection schedule affecting around 1,500 homes. Residents will experience a shift in their collection weeks, alternating between yellow and orange, while the recycling day will remain consistent. The Public Works Department conducted a thorough analysis to enhance service efficiency and improve recycling collection routes.
