Panorama School District is actively collecting signatures for a $19. 6 million bond referendum aimed at improving school facilities, including security enhancements and infrastructure upgrades. The comprehensive assessment by architects highlighted the necessity for a secure entrance and a new roof for the elementary school, among other updates. Superintendent Kasey Huebner plans to bolster vocational education, noting that approximately 40% of recent seniors entered the workforce immediately after graduation. Proposed improvements include a larger woodshop classroom and accessible playgrounds that cater to students of all abilities.

The district also aims to expand community spaces like gyms, which benefit local residents. The bond tax would cost residents $1. 96 per $1,000 of taxable property value. To place the measure on the November 4th ballot, the district needs 168 signatures, with 160 already collected. This referendum is crucial for modernizing educational facilities and enhancing student experiences in the district.
