Command Sgt. Maj. Bryant Gray officially relinquished his duties at the Soldier Readiness Unit (SRU) in Fort Campbell during a Change of Responsibility Ceremony on December 13, 2024. Over his two-year tenure, Gray was instrumental in supporting the recovery of soldiers, as highlighted by SRU commander Lt. Clarisa Horton, who noted his efforts in creating a cohesive organization.

Under his leadership, 294 soldiers were welcomed into the program, and 156 successfully transitioned back to active duty. Gray, a South Carolina National Guardsman, has played a vital role in the Army Recovery Care Program, assisting wounded service members since its inception. His focus on healing and personal growth has been a cornerstone of his approach, encouraging soldiers to become the best versions of themselves. As he prepares to return to the South Carolina National Guard, Gray expressed his eagerness to reconnect with his family and spend quality time with his grandchildren. The ceremony not only marked the end of Gray's tenure but also celebrated the positive impact he had on countless soldiers' lives.
