Neighbors Can Explore Historical Palmer Square Homes And Gardens During Preservation Walk
Logan Square Preservation's 35th Biennial House Walk invites neighbors to discover Palmer Square's historical homes and gardens on September 20 from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. The walk will feature seven homes and gardens, including The Erickson House, built in 1908 for $12,000 and designed by architect Paul Hansen.
The event aims to raise funds for planting more trees in the neighborhood. Attendees can also explore a new rehabilitation project by Via Chicago Architects and enjoy a vintage car show, local artwork, and live DJ sets. General admission tickets are $35 until Sunday and will increase to $50 afterward. A VIP fast-pass ticket is available for $100, which will rise to $150 after Sunday. Logan Square Preservation members will provide insights into the area's history, including the Schwinn Mansion, now St.
Sylvester School. The event promotes community engagement, with music, merchandise for sale, and food trucks available.
