Galen Nesbit Willis, Jr. , known as Gary, passed away on June 3, 2025, in Burien, WA, after a long illness. He was born on January 14, 1943, in Washington, DC, and lived in various states during his childhood before settling in Seattle in 1955. Gary graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1960 and attended the University of Puget Sound, where he earned a BA in Business Administration in 1964 and an MBA in 1970. His university years included active participation in the Sigma Chi fraternity.

Gary married Nancy Lehrer Skinner on July 31, 1965, in Olympia, WA, marking a significant personal milestone. His career and personal life were deeply rooted in the Seattle area, where he contributed to the community. Gary's legacy includes his educational achievements and the family he cherished. His passing is felt by many who knew and loved him.
