Youth-led Juneteenth celebration coming to SeaTac Roadhouse on Friday, June 27

A youth-centered celebration of Juneteenth will occur at the SeaTac Roadhouse on June 27, 2025, from 6 to 8 p. m. This free, family-friendly event will feature live performances by young Black artists, live painting, and complimentary food and beverages. Organizers aim to spotlight Black freedom, joy, and creativity, with a strong emphasis on youth leadership. They describe the gathering as a "powerful moment for the Southside," reflecting the region's cultural richness.

Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a reminder of the ongoing journey toward equality. The SeaTac Roadhouse is located at 18420 International Blvd in SeaTac. This event offers a vital space for young people and families to engage with their community and celebrate their heritage.
