"Urban Edges, Wild Horizons," a photography exhibit by Enrique Barquet, opened on June 13 at Merrill Gardens in Burien and features 15 large-format prints. The exhibit explores the visual boundaries between urban environments and natural landscapes, drawing from Barquet's experiences in Mexico and Washington state. This installation is accessible to the public 24/7 until September 30, highlighting Burien's commitment to public art. Barquet, who has a background in biology, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting that this exhibition marks a significant milestone in his career. Each piece is printed on Chromaluxe aluminum, ensuring durability and vivid imagery.

The exhibit is part of the 2025 Burien Gallery Program and was juried by the Burien Public Arts Commission.
