UPDATE Power outage now affects 3,700 customers restoration pushed to 641 p.m.

Seattle City Light is managing a power outage impacting approximately 3,717 customers in Burien and Tukwila, down from a previous count of over 7,300. The outage began at 1:59 p. m. on June 18, 2025, and has affected neighborhoods near Sea-Tac Airport. Crews are currently dispatched to investigate the cause, which remains unidentified.

Initial restoration estimates projected a return of power by 8:56 p. m. , but officials have since revised this to 6:41 p. m. Customers can monitor the situation through the Seattle City Light outage map.

The outage underscores the importance of timely communication from utility companies during disruptions. Local residents are encouraged to stay updated on restoration efforts and report any further issues.
