Security incident at SeaTac Airport forces two runway closures Saturday

The Port of Seattle Police are conducting an investigation concerning an aircraft on runway 16R/34L, following a reported threat during taxiing that led to the evacuation of 68 passengers and four crew members from an Alaska Airlines flight. Officials confirmed a suspect is in custody as they continue to investigate the situation. While two runways were closed, one remained operational for limited flights, causing significant disruption for travelers.
