Burien residents can join a community walk discussing Alzheimer’s and dementia this Saturday, June 14, at 11 a. m. at Burien Town Square Park. Led by Dr. Dane Nimako, the event will feature a 15-20 minute talk on screening and prevention strategies for dementia.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss lifestyle changes and inquire about relevant supplements. Following the discussion, participants will walk to Lake Burien Park and return, enhancing community engagement. First-time walkers are encouraged to register for updates on future events. Walk with a Doc aims to bring health education beyond traditional clinical environments, emphasizing the importance of movement and conversation. The program, initiated in 2005, has expanded globally and fosters a supportive atmosphere for health discussions.
