The White Center Food Bank is set to host its third annual “Taste of White Center” on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. in downtown White Center.

Over 30 local restaurants will participate, offering a variety of dishes for attendees who purchase $5 tickets. Iconic restaurants like Puffy Pandy and El Catrín will provide small plates, drinks, and desserts, showcasing the area's culinary talent. Proceeds from ticket sales will support the food bank's programs, which served over 37,000 households and distributed 1. 4 million pounds of food in 2023. Each ticket grants access to a menu and map detailing available offerings from participating restaurants, enhancing the experience.

The event will also feature vendors, a kid’s area, and live music, fostering a community atmosphere. The food bank, established in the mid-1970s, continues to address local food insecurity through various programs. This celebration of food aims to unite the community around shared culinary experiences.
