Felony investigation prompts SWAT response near Chinook Middle School in SeaTac Tuesday

Tukwila Police responded to a felony property crime investigation at a residence in SeaTac on June 10, 2025, resulting in a SWAT team deployment. The investigation stemmed from a crime that occurred earlier in Tukwila, prompting detectives to link the suspect to the SeaTac location. Precautionary notifications were made to Chinook Middle School due to the residence's close proximity. Negotiations with an individual inside led to his voluntary exit and subsequent detention. After securing the scene, Tukwila’s Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant approved by a judge.

The police previously noted a history of law enforcement activity at the residence. Authorities continue to investigate the case, assessing the implications of the crime. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding crime in the region and the need for community safety measures.
