The Washington State Patrol is investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred on July 24, 2024, at approximately 7:15 p. m. on westbound SR 518 in Burien. The victim, driving a white Toyota Tundra, reported that a suspect in a newer silver Chevy Tahoe fired a shot after blocking the road. While the driver was unharmed, troopers confirmed bullet entry and exit points in the Tundra's hood, indicating the seriousness of the incident.

The suspect is described as a heavyset white male, possibly in his mid-thirties. Witnesses are crucial for the investigation, and officials urge anyone with information to step forward. The incident highlights ongoing safety concerns on local roadways. Drive-by shootings pose significant risks to public safety, prompting law enforcement to seek community assistance.
