Burien Police Deputy hit by car, injured Monday morning
Early Monday morning, April 10, 2023, Burien Police deputies were dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle blocking Des Moines Memorial Drive South. When approached, the driver, who was unconscious, tried to escape, hitting a Deputy in the process. The vehicle was apprehended shortly thereafter, and the driver was taken into custody without further incident. The Deputy who was struck suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
